to your heart!
And my heart!
How can you not love Maya Road when you see today's beautiful project! We invited Designer Danielle Flanders to join us for this week. Her style just calls for Maya Road and once again we were right!
And Linda Linda Linda....yes...Designer Linda Albrecht made this beauty for us today that just might take your breath away!!
Supplies:
GlueArts Adhesive: Glue Glider Pro, PermaTac refill, Extreme Adhesive Squares
Canvas pages, resin flower, chipboard heart, clear pin: Maya Road
Felt, stamps: Papertrey Ink
Orange chipboard: Crate Paper
White border sticker: Basic Grey
Yellow ink: Jenni Bowlin
Brown ink: Ranger Industries
Misc white stick pin, ribbon, green paint.
About the album:
I used two of Maya Road's heart canvas pages and two rectangle pages in this little mini album of my daughter. I added some fall pictures of her, but you could change the colors and use any type of photos with these pages! I dabbed some yellow ink on the cover. These canvas pages are fun to ink or stamp on like I did here. I took a smaller canvas rectangle and folded it in half, then stitched it to the front page of my mini album, stamped on it and added lots of embellishments! The Extreme Adhesive Squares by Glue Arts are wonderful for attaching the embellishments, like the felt hearts and the chipboard!
3. Hand stitch the canvas shapes shut where you inserted the stuffing. Cut a 16" x 8" piece of ivory colored tulle, apply Ribbon adhesive to the back side of pom pom trim then adhere the trim to one of the edges of the tulle.
Designer tip: I think that it works best to lay the trim flat onto your work surface then lay the Ribbon Adhesive onto the trim where you would like it. The Ribbon Adhesive has a nice see through backing so that you can rub it down for placement!
4. Fold the tuelle at 3.5" from the pom pom trim edge and sew a running stitch for gathering. Apply Fabric Adhesive to the back side of a 5" length of green ribbon then stick the gathered edge of the tuelle to the adhesive.
5. Iron the ribbon to the tulle, making sure not to touch the tuelle with the hot iron. Use Hot glue gun to adhere the ribbon at the top of the tulle skirt to the dress form.
