Dreams are made of beautiful things...today's post is filled with those kind of beautiful things.
The Glue Girls team worked with Studio Calico's October Kit...that is filled with beautiful things. They're truly everywhere!! Stamps, butterflies, wasabi tape, decorative papers, brads....and on and on.
Designer Tamara Tripodi loved the wasabi tape so much she commented to us that she purchased more to use for future projects. And here's a direct quote from Designer Ania Lexander about Studio Calico's Kits..."LOVED this kit, especially the patterned papers especially made for SC! And truly loved all your projects this time - seems like you can't go wrong with a kit like this!" How's that for true praise!

Dream Card
GlueArts Designer: Tamara Tripodi
Supplies:
Glue Arts hot glue gun and hot glue
Glue Arts Extreme Tac Adhesive Squares
Studio Calico Kit
Instructions:
trim paper to the following sizes:
. 5x7" card base
. 4.75 x 6.75" (blue cardstock)
. 4.50 x 5.25" (wood grain print)
Adhere the blue cardstock to the card base with your glue glider.
Stitch the wood grain print with cream thread. Adhere with U-Cut It foam adhesive to dimension.
Add strips of washi tape.
Adhere the butterfly chipboard with Glue Arts adhesive squares. Layer the butterflies as shown.
Finish embellishing your card with washi tape, brads, stickers, etc. I cut the 'arms' off the brads and used GlueArts to glue to adhere them to the butterflies and card.
Why Hello Layout
GlueArts Designer: Ania Lexander
Supplies:
Glue Arts: Glue Glider Pro - high tac, 3d foam, raisen's
Other: Studio Calico kit, Martha Stewart borderpunch, crop-a-dile, marvy circle puncher
Other: Studio Calico kit, Martha Stewart borderpunch, crop-a-dile, marvy circle puncher
How to create the butterfly-embellishment:
Start with adhering the chipboard lightly (just so it won't move when being punched through)
and layer them up.
Punch through...
Pick a pretty brad from the kit...
Punch a circle, cover it with high tac and arrange the ribbon around.
Attach raisen's to the butterfly and assemble with the circle. Place it upon the journaling tag when finished.
As for the paper-ribbon:
Cut out 3 different strips - all the same width. I used a stapler for the top bow, staple into a circle. Arrange the other strips as shown. Use raisen's underneath the edge of the end to make them stand up some. Punch a hole in the middle and attach a brad.
Top: Punch two different strips with an edge puncher. Cut them so they look exactly the same (minus the pattern
)
Adhere the bottom to the background (I think it's nice having the darkest color at the bottom). Attach raisen's to it. Attach brads to the top strip. Place upon - a bit skewed so it's easier to see the "shadow" of the bottom strip.
Assemble & decorate - I used 3d foam to attach the middleish stuff so it wouldn't "fall behind" the dimensional top & bottom. Admire your layout.
How dreamy are those projects?!!
We'd love for you too to have an opportunity to create with Studio Calico and GlueArts!
