Winter Snowballs from Lawn Fawn and GlueArts!

Wow~~what a week we've had with Lawn Fawn!

Today is our final day and what an ending we have in store for you!

Designer Jaime Warren has an amazing layout for you. Notice how she used the stamps on her layout as embellishments around her layout.

And Designer Linda Albrecht has pulled out all the stops and well....just look below...amazing!!

"Winter Snowball Scenes"
GlueArts Designer: Linda Albrecht

Supplies:
and Mini Hot Glue Gun & sticks
Maya Road Chipboard pieces (Wavy & Triangle Banners, mini wood spool & Antique Gem trinket pins
Melissa Frances clear rhinestones
Staz On Black Inkpad
DecoArt Snow-Tex paste
Other:
polymer clay, 3"styrofoam balls, acrylic paints, pom poms, wood fencing, metal snowflakes, 3" bottle brush trees, silver beads, Mica Flakes, clear glitter, buttons, vintage wood spools, styrofoam star, artificial greens, watercolor pencils, silver pipecleaner, wood skewer or dowel

1. Smoosh up a 3" styrofoam ball by pressing into it with fingers so that it looks imperfect like a real snowball then apply white paint and then Mica Flakes.

2. Add a small wood scewer or dowel to the bottom of the snowball. Use hot glue to adhere it into the wood thread spool.
3. Form clay into a ball about the size of a walnut shell then roll flat to measure about 1/2" thick.
4. Stamp animal images onto a piece of clear acetate with permanent inkpad then cut out around the outside edges. Lay stamped images onto the clay and cut out shapes with an exacto knife. Allow to air dry or speed up process in a warm oven. (Make a nose for the penguin with the clay also.)
5. When clay pieces are dry, paint desired colors. Stamp images onto white cardstock, paint with watercolor pencils, apply glitter or clear crackle paint and cut out. Allow pieces to dry. Apply Perma Tac Adhesive to front of clay shapes and adhere stamped animals to the clay shapes.

6. Ink outside edges to distress and add clay nose to the penquin and a black jewel to the polar bear.
Add a pom pom tail to the polar bear.

7. Use Sno-Tex paste to add "snow" to the tops of the shapes and other embellishments. Apply glitter to the paste immediately after applying to the pieces and allow to dry.

8. Begin adhering the pieces to the top of the snowball with hot glue. You will need to make some indentations where the pieces will go so that they will sit flat onto the ball.

9. Add glitter and rhinestones to metal snowflakes. Adhere buttons and chipboard embellishments to the scene with hot glue.

10. Stick a trinket pin into the thread on spool and use Dry Stick Mounting Adhesive to apply a button or metal snowflake to the pin.

11. Add a "pile of snowballs" to the penguin scene with mini pom poms using hot glue then sprinkle on clear glitter. Adhere sprigs of artificial greens with hot glue and sprinkle with Mica Flakes.

And for December they have an extra special Santa Sack:

"For the month of December for every Santa Sack you buy, your name will be put into a drawing for the ULTIMATE SANTA SACK.  It will have over $200.00 worth of product.  And it will be shipped BEFORE Christmas!"

October Afternoon has generously offered to give away ONE of their incredible Santa Sacks to one of our GlueArts fans! We'll count all the comments posted today toward the giveaway! One random winner will be chosen and we'll announce the winner of the Santa Sack on Monday during our week with October Afternoon! Now that's one gift from Santa...you'll love!!

I started by layering two patterned paper sheets, making sure to trim the top one to fit snugly in the center of the bottom sheet.

I then hand cut some of the snowflakes from my patterned paper and attached them using the U Cut It Foam and the Extreme Tac Mini Adhesive. I did the same thing with my stamped images - I simply cut out the stamped image and then attached with the U Cut It Foam for extra dimension!

I wanted to add some extra sparkle to my layout (which is perfect for a Christmas layout!!) so, I added random dots of the Extreme Tac Mini Adhesive Squares around my layout and then covered them in Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter! I love how it looks like shimmery snow all over the layout!

I had an absolute blast working with the adorable Lawn Fawn Stamps - thanks so much for stopping in everyone!!

So have you enjoyed our week with Lawn Fawn! We absolutely did!!! We'd like to invite you to post a comment. We'll enter you to win the Lawn Fawn Ornate Ornaments stamp set! Plus we'll include our Glue Glider PRO handle, our new PRO+ Perma Tac Cartridge and our must have U Cut It Foam!

We'll select one random winner and post their name right here on Monday!!

Please do stop by the Lawn Fawn blog to see what their Designers have created with our GlueArts products as well!!!

And speaking of shopping...we're excited to announce our Christmas Stock Up Sale!!! That's right!! Buy 3 PRO+ Cartridges and receive a FREE PRO Handle!!

Just visit the GlueArts website to shop and stock up for Christmas!!

Before you leave today...we would like to share with you a special promotion from our friends at October Afternoon! (whom we're working with next week and their Holiday Style collection!!!)

Today at 11am October Afternoon Santa Sacks will be on sale! The Santa Sacks are worth over $100 retail and are priced at just $39.99 plus shipping!!!! An incredible deal!!

I just love these beautiful Lawn Fawn Ornate Ornaments stamps! They were perfect for a layout about my girls' Christmas tree and ornaments! I used some of the gorgeous Crate Paper Peppermint Collection as well as the following Glue Arts products:

Oh, isn't Linda the best? Her creations are so beautiful and the inspiration I gain from her is just amazing. I love the snowball scene and the best part is that she was able to use her auntie's items. Such a great way to keep her near and dear.
