papers: Pink Paislee, Crate Paper, Sassafrass Lass
cardstock, letters, embossing powder: American Crafts
spray mists: Tattered Angels, Shimmerz, October Afternoon, Maya Road
stickers: October Afternoon
brads: Crate Paper, K&CO.

Directions:
-after trimming patterned paper, cardstock & photo's to size, prepare your layout with spray mists (using a stencil as your background - in my case I used a negative from a sheet of butterfly punch outs), then add first photo.
-trim 2 more strips of patterned paper and lay under photo
-use 3D foam under 2nd photo (it can be a smaller photo, if you choose)

-turn photo over and you can instantly see the 3D effect of your photo standing up on top of your other photo.
-start adding embellishments. Some will be 3D like pictured:





-it's that simple to make a 3D layout.
Like I've done before - I plan to keep this layout out on an easel in my scrap room because of my 3D embellishments. Later on I'll move it into a 3D window box frame.

Such a beautiful layout - the butterflies really stand out - thanks for the tip on making the shimmer butterflies from the negatives - I'm definitely going to try this technique! The foam squares are a necessity!
