It's almost too goo to be true!lol

And so are today's projects! Designer Ania Lexander has made a unique fortune-teller inspired table centerpiece that we just adore! Made some real fortune tellers to leave around the table for a fun theme!

Designer Leslie Ashe has a "LOVE"ly banner that would be special to hang at the church or reception hall and then can go home with the newlyweds to decorate their first home.

Glue Art Supplies:
Glue Glider Pro - Extreme Tac
Extreme Adhesive Squares
Micro Extreme Adhesive Squares
U Cut It 3d foam
Hot glue

Corrugated cardstock
Tulle
Martha Stewart punches: Starburst, butterfly and double loops.
4x4" raised minicanvas
wooden stick
Bone folder

Instructions:
First: Fold a paper fortune teller. Here's some images showing how to, if you don't know it in advance. Use the full 12x12" sheet.

Fold the square diagonally - both sides.

 Fold each corner into the middle.

 Flip the square, and fold the corner once again towards the middle.

 "open" the paper - you now have a paper fortune teller...

 For our purpose however: flip it upside down.

 Grab your canvas and cover it with patterned paper. Use the extreme tac glue for this part.

 Using a border punch; punch out edges for the fortune teller which you adhere with the micro extreme adhesive squares.

Cut two 2" strips, and score them evenly so you can create an accordion circle.

 Using the hot glue, glue the accordion circle onto the wooden stick and decorate the center of it with layered papers, stickers, tulle and button on the top.

Punch/create a hole in the middle of the canvas for the wooden stick. Thread it onto the middle of the upside down fortune teller then onto the canvas. Use the hot glue to ensure it'll stay in place - I hot glued the bottom of the canvas/stick first then the surface side.

Hot glue the fortune teller onto the canvas.

Fill the pockets with candies or whatever you please.

Leslie and her husband Alan have just celebrated their 21st Anniversary!! 

And here's a little background on their wedding day:  We got married May 18, 2000.  We were planning a HUGE wedding for later that year and just couldn’t wait any longer...we eloped (well with family present!!) at the JOP in our city hall. funny story....the judge in the JOP offices was out sick. The only judge available was across the street...in the CITY JAIL. So we like to joke about getting married “in jail.” 

A little tidbit: I wanted to make something that would be cute as photo prop for the bride & groom and also serve as a table decoration or just to hang anywhere!

Supplies:

Glue Glider Pro w/Extreme Tac cartridge, Extreme adhesive squares, Micro Extreme adhesive squares, Adhesive Squares, 3D U Cut It Foam

other supplies:
chipboard: Jenni Bowlin
paint: adirondack (dauber duo)
spray mist: Shimmerz
pen: Zig
letters: American Crafts (Thickers)

Directions:

- trim patterned paper into a 6x6 square.
-place chipboard banner piece on top, trace with a pencil, cut out & adhere

 -once each banner piece is made (I used 4), spray with paint mist & let dry

-next, take silver paint & just go along each edge to distress a tad & paint any elements you'd like silver (like I did with my birdcage)

 -once those are dry - start laying out your elements, figuring out where you want to place things, then adhere them all down

-to use border stickers on the side, first use a powder of some sort to get the "sticky" off the back, then adhere to the backside of your chipboard banner

-finally place your banners the way you want them (spelling out a word or just pictures, however you wish) then lace tulle through and tie bows on each end

-hang or place anywhere and enjoy!
