3D Wedding Dress Card

Jenny and her husband Bill have been married 3 years and will celebrate their Anniversary this October.

Ink by Stazon
Punch by Eksuccess

This card is one I have been creating for awhile now and I thought it was a perfect time to write up a tutorial on how I make it. It's not only perfect for a card, but also looks nice framed up for a special bride.

 1. I started by cutting heart shapes on my Silhouette staggering the sizes by 1/2inch. 

 2. Using my glue gun I attached lace to the backside of my bottom heart.

 3. I applied U-Cut foam to the bottom two hearts and Raisn's to the top heart to create different heights.

 4. The card base is 5x5 and I layered a second piece of pattern paper on top with punch borders for added interest. DO not attach your papers together at this point.

 5. Next place the base of your dress on the card and layer the remaining heart on top to create the completed dress.

 6. Punch a hole on either side of the middle of your dress to run your ribbon through. 

 7. Apply your brad through the same hole as your ribbon. Then attach your pattern paper to the base of your card.

 8. Apply your stamp to your card and mail off with love!

Supplies: 
Glue Arts:
Glue Glider Pro with 1/4 High Tac Cartridge Refill - Pro
Mini Adhesive Squares
Adhesive Squares
U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam

Crate Paper:
Portrait Collection pattern paper – Pearls, Traditions, Bouquet, Honeymoon, Vintage Lace, Something Blue and June
Portrait Collection 12 x 12 Accents

Other:
Fiskars: 3-in-1 Corner Squeeze Punch; Simple Stick The Big Day Stamp; Scallop Paper Edgers
Martha Stewart: Butterfly Punch
Queen & Co.: pearl accents

Instructions:
1. Create a 5 ½” x 9” card from cardstock. Remove the corners. Then cut a 5 ½” x 9” piece of Pearls pattern paper. Use a decorative corner punch on all 4 corners.
2. Cut 3 – 2” strips of pattern paper for the 3 cake layers. Make one 3 ½” wide, another 2 ¾” wide and the top 2 1/8” wide. Also cut scalloped strips of black and white pattern paper the lengths of each cake layer for the top and bottom of each cake layer, as shown.

 3. Cut flowers and leaves from the Bouquet pattern paper. Also punch out 3 butterflies from the different black patterned papers in the Portrait Collection.
4. From the 12” x 12” Portrait Collection Accents, remove the small black journal frame and the bride & groom frame. I used a 1 ½” circle punch to punch out the bride & groom from the frame. Then cut a scalloped circle to frame the bride & groom.
5. Once all the pieces for the wedding cake card are ready, use the Glue Glider Pro with High Tac Adhesive to adhere the scalloped strips to the rectangle cake layers.

 6. Next, apply the U-Cut-It Adhesive Foam to the back of each layer and stack the cake onto the card front. Use the foam on the back of the scalloped bride & groom accent as well. Also, stamp or write a sentiment on the black framed accent and adhere to the center of the bottom layer with U-Cut-It Foam Adhesive.

 7. Adhere the cut out flowers, leaves and punched butterflies with both the Adhesive Squares and the Mini Adhesive Squares.

 8. To complete the card, add dimensional liquid glue to the flowers and leaves and pearl gems along the lower scalloped strips.
