A Spring Hello Today!

Happy Tuesday!

We're celebrating the arrival of spring today with a beautiful spring card by Designer Patti Milazzo. Patti used a piece of clear acetate for the front of her card accent with our vinyl Accent It All!!

And please welcome new Glue Girl Jan Hennings to the team today! Jan is sharing a a fun way to repurpose a picture frame to make it a sweet welcome to spring! (you could make one for each season and switch it out!)

Hello Spring Card
Designer: Patti Milazzo

Supplies:
Glue Arts:
Glue Glider Pro
1/4 High Tac Cartridge Refill - Pro
Mini Adhesive Squares
Accent It All: Black Out and White Out

Other:

Acetate
Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutter
Sizzix Dies: Sizzlit Decorative Label Set; Sizzlit Alphabet Everything Nice; Sizzlits Flowers, Branches & Leaves; Sizzlits Vine #2; Original Dies Flower Layers #3
Fiskars Punches – Delicate Butterfly
Martha Stewart Punch – Royal Butterfly Punch
Pattern Paper – Black & White Exotic Birds by Paper Studio; Petal Pushers and Kiwi Double Dot Cardstock by Bo Bunny
Gems by K & Company
Buttons by Making Memories

Instructions:
1. Cut a 5 ½” x 7” piece of pattern paper or cardstock to be the base of your card. Score along the extra ½ inch to create a flap that goes over the top of the card.
2. Cut a 5” x 7” piece of acetate and adhere it to the underside of the flap using the Glue Glider Pro with High Tac Adhesive.
3. Next, cut and punch designs from Glue Arts Black Out and White Out Accent It All adhesive sheets. I cut my flowers and label shape from White Out Accent It All. The vines and butterflies as well as the sentiment lettering were cut/punched using the Black Out Accent It All. In addition, I cut out some of the flowers from a black and white pattern paper to add dimension to the flowers.
Tip: I used a permanent marker to create a dot outline around the White Out Accent It All label shape to make the it stand out from the stark white flowers. Let it dry completely before applying.

4. Apply the die cut alphas to the white label.
5. With the card closed, begin layering the die cut and punched shapes onto the card. Use the Glue Glider Pro with High Tac Adhesive to adhere the larger paper flowers.
6. To complete the card, use the Mini Adhesive Squares to apply smaller punched paper shapes as well as any gems or buttons.

So tell us...how many of you have lost photos on your computer? Had a computer or hard drive crash? Or yes...had an external hard drive fail. This Glue Girl can answer yes to all three. Two years of photos of my family, children, trips, school memories were lost and the amount of tears shed ...copious! With Picture Keeper...this story would of had a happy ending.

Picture Keeper is the simplest automatic picture backup device. Simply plug in and save! No software to install and no password to remember.  With a PK-4, it's a snap to save up to 4,000* pictures! And because there's no software to  tht much easier.

Just insert the Picture Keeper drive into any USB port on your PC, click "Start Backup" and Picture Keeper automatically finds and saves all your pictures. That’s it! They all fit right there on the Picture Keeper drive. What's more, subsequent backups are fast because Picture Keeper will only copy the newest images when you use it again to save your recently added or changed pictures.

And because Picture Keeper’s software runs right from the USB drive, you'll be able to easily save pictures on multiple PCs (WIndows AND Mac OS) up to the drive’s capacity).

Users can also choose the more "advanced" options which allow you to select additional types of files or directories you want saved.

Picture Keeper is giving away a PK4 (retail value $29.99).
