Show a little love!
February is traditionally known for Valentine's Day!
A holiday we not only profess our love for one another.{but partake of many chocolate candies and conversation hearts.} Oh wait...that's just in my house!lol
Today we have two ways to show your love...a Love Sign that can be apart of your day to day decor or something special to bring out for the holiday. Designer Michelle Lanning's layout is easy to remake and a great way to capture those memories of your child putting together their Valentine's.
Supplies:
Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro, Perma Tac Cartridge, 3D Combo Pack
Fancy Pants Love Birds Paper and Sticker Collection
Stickles Glitters
Colorbox Chalk Inks
Wood Love Sign (Hobby Lobby)
May Arts Ribbons
Paint
Puffy Hearts
The Twinery Twine
Instructions:
1)Trace letters onto wrong side of papers. Cut out papers, ink edges and adhere to letters using Glue Glider Pro Perma Tac.
2)Handcut the pennant banner, heart and bird design from the papers and diecuts. For the banner I used our U Cut It foam and cut pieces of foam to fit under the pennants to give height.
2)Paint the letter "O". Embellish with a puffy heart, slip a photo into the "O" opening or tuck a cute Fancy Pants Valentine image behind the opening. Add some sparkle to the diecut using Stickles Glitters.
4)Tie a bow with the twine...attach to the front of the heart using an Extreme Adhesive Micro Square. Cut another length of twine. Wrap around the puffy heart and attach to the backside of the hanging heart.
Designer Tip: Just thought I would share how I use my favorite Glue Arts Glue Arts U Cut-It 3D Foam. I got through this stuff like crazy. I love that I can cut it to my specifications and nothing goes to waste:)
After I trimmed the bunting I knew that I wanted to layer the pieces and use GA 3D foam.
For this project i only used one layer of foam, but I have used 2 layers on past projects to add even more dimension.
Here is another piece that I used the GA 3D foam on. This time I cut the foam into longer strips to fit the needs of my piece of paper. I always use nonstick scissors to make the cuts go smoothly.
We also wanted to respond as we realize some of you may be a bit concerned about making videos and because of this may be hesitating about trying out for the Design Team. It is NOT a requirement that you make videos...it's just a perk for us if you will and are comfortable making them. However please do not let that stop you from submitting to the call if that is not your strong suit.
If you have any questions or concerns...please don't hesitate to email us at Gluegirl@gluearts.com!!
