Don't you agree??

Artist Journal
Designer: Linda Albrecht

Designer Intro: I have an obsession with making these journals from small 3 ring binders. I love adding old family photos, hand stitching, and quotes. I sometimes also add sketches or journaling on the extra pages, so it is sort of an organizer too.

Supplies:
Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro
Glue Arts Adhesives- Perma Tac, 3D Foam Blanks, Ribbon Adhesive, 3/8" Adhesive Squares, 1/2" Adhesive Squares
Crate Paper Restoration Collection papers, Border Stickers, Chipboard, and Journal and Title Stickers
Miscellaneous ribbons, Lace, trims, beads, buttons, rhinestones and flowers
Cotton string and embroidery floss
Brads and staples
Flower punches or diecuts

Instructions:
1. Adhere papers to cover and distress edges with sandpaper then use Perma Tac Adhesive to add chipboard (I always add additional adhesive on journals because of the usage they get.)
2. Embroider French Knots onto ric rac trim then adhere trim and lace to the cover with Ribbon Adhesive.

3. Cut or punch flowers from patterned papers, attach brad to chipboard flower then layer together using 3/8" Adhesives Squares.
4. Attach a 3D Foam piece to the back of a bird diecut and add two 1/2" Adhesive Squares to the wing area.

5. Apply a feather to the Adhesive Squares, smoothing feathers in the direction desired--the Adhesive Squares will hold them in place.
Sew a button next to the feather then stick the bird inside the journal as deisred.
6. Apply Ribbon Adhesive to the backside of fabric trim or ribbon then make pleats.

7. Once you start the pleats, stick them directly to the page, making the pleats fold in one direction.

8. Hand sew beads and buttons to the outside of the pleats, trying to avoid the line of glue (the glue can leave residue on your needle making it hard to pull through the paper.)
9. Use a diecut machine or hand fold envelopes and pockets for the journal. Diecut shapes are fun to add in as a mini page also.

Summer Art Layout
Designer: Michelle Lanning

Supplies:
Glue Arts Instant Bond Mounting Squares, U Cut it Adhesive Foam Blanks, Glue Glider Perma Tac
Crate Paper Pattern Paper, Chipboard, brads, diecuts (Restoration line)
Alphas: American Crafts

Here are a few tips for creating some dimension to your title.
I grabbed some Instant Bond Mounting squares to area that I wanted my crepe paper to be.
Then with double the length you want for your "ruffle" bunch up the crepe onto the mounting squares. Be careful where you place the crepe - it will stick well!

Then I stamped onto some of the pattern paper a tag. I hand cut them and then using 3D Adhesive foam blanks for some more dimension.

Then I simple added my alphas and it made the title "pop" a bit more than if I had left it on its own.

Here's some more of Michelle's beautiful work that she created as a Crate Paper Girl!!
