For home decor, outdoor decorating...Japanese Lanterns are a beautiful and simple way to decorate!
Today's spotlight on Instyle Stamps includes unique stamp of a beautiful Japanese lantern. And while this stamp image is not the most typical type of stamp design to use...Designers Kristen Swain and Jenn Ellefson show quite beautifully how to make cards with this unique design!
You Brighten My Day
Designer: Kristen Swain
Stamps- Instyle (lamps), Hero Arts (greeting,)
Adhesives- Glue Arts Foam UcutIt, Perma dots adhesive
Ink- Stazon
paper- Scribble Scrabble
watercolor pencils
twine
brad
cardstock- white and kraft
floss- black
punch- EKSuccess
Instructions
1. Stamp lanterns onto white cardstock, color images with watercolor pencils, allow to dry then cut out.
2. Cut block of kraft, add lanterns with foam UcutIt, then pierce paper and stitch lines with black floss.
3. Adhere block of kraft to block of dot paper with Perma Dots adhesive, add to white card base, then punch scallops along right edge.
4. Stamp greeting on white, cut out and adhere to left side of card with Perma Dots adhesive, then add brad, finish with twine tied to right edge of card.

scallop scissors- Provo Craft
cardstock- white and kraft
watercolor pencils
Instructions
1. Fold card for base, then stitch a grid pattern using sewing machine with no thread.
2. Stamp image with Stazon ink, then color with watercolor pencils.
3. Cut out stamped image, adhere to dot paper with Perma Dots adhesive and cut mat edge with scallop scissors.
4. Adhere kraft strip across card using Perma Dots adhesive and foam tape back of image, add to card.
5. Tie twine onto card, then stamp greeting on kraft, cutout and add brad, then foam UcutIt back and adhere to bird scene image.
